Faultline has been an established
and popular live band in the
St Albans/ Herts area since the
late 1990s.

The core of the band's material
has always been the complex yet accessible simplicity of African jazz
which Jane Ridge (bass) and Adrian
Powell (drums) first discovered when
in Africa in the 1980s. Christoph
Egle (keys) was also a founder member, bringing a European flourish to the band.

Alongside the African influence, Faultline also plays a selection of more well-known  standard jazz tunes .

Steve Bryant , Tim Blackwell and Swiss Yvonne  form Faultline's sax attack, with 
Dave Sharp's trumpet completing the
horns line up. Zuz Bryant and other 
guests have also been available to contribute both instrumentally and
vocally .

Faultline plays in local pubs on a regular basis and is available to play at parties,
functions and charitable events.
